Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intern Optometrist to support our clinical research activities. The ideal candidate must have a background in Optometry and a strong interest in clinical research. The role will involve supporting research activities, patient interactions, data collection, field-based activities, and coordination with the clinical research team.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of clinical research studies and related research activities.
  • Support patient recruitment, screening, follow-up, and other study-related activities.
  • Assist with the collection, recording, and management of clinical data while ensuring accuracy and adherence to study protocols.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support the smooth execution of research projects.
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking study progress and report any issues or deviations to the relevant team members.
  • Support study investigators and site staff during research activities and patient interactions.
  • Assist in preparing project updates, reports, and research documentation.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of regulatory and study-related documents.
  • Follow clinical research protocols, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records while ensuring the confidentiality and security of patient and research data.
  • Participate in field-based research activities as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Optometry or an equivalent Optometry qualification is mandatory.
  • Freshers are welcome; candidates with academic projects, internships, or exposure to clinical research will be preferred.
  • Basic understanding of optometry and clinical research processes.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with patients and study teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to participate in field-based research activities.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office and data management tools.
  • Strong interest in clinical research and willingness to learn.
