Title: Product Manager
About the Role
We seeking a dynamic and motivated Product Manager or Product Specialist to lead and grow our ROP (Retinopathy of Prematurity) product line. The ideal candidate will act as the product owner, bridging the gap between customers, clinical stakeholders, and internal teams (R&D, clinical, and marketing). This role requires strong customer engagement, sales orientation, and cross-functional collaboration to drive product adoption and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the owner of the product, ensuring its success across development, clinical validation, marketing, and sales.
- Travel extensively to meet customers, conduct product demonstrations, and support clinical validations.
- Build a deep understanding of ophthalmic industry products, competitors, and workflows.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, clinical, and marketing teams to align product features with market needs.
- Participate in and support sales activities, including customer engagement, product positioning, and field support.
- Ensure awareness and adherence to basic medical device regulatory requirements (ISO 13485 and related standards).
- Collect feedback from users and stakeholders to guide continuous product improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Background: Optometry or Engineering (Diploma/Degree). Candidates with strong market and field experience will also be considered.
- Strong field experience with a proven ability to engage with doctors, hospitals, and customers.
- Demonstrated understanding of ophthalmic devices and competitors.
- Some sales experience is essential; the candidate must be passionate about sales, customer engagement, and product demonstrations.
- Ability to multitask and work across sales, clinical validations, and marketing activities.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel frequently.
